Steeler Dan gives Russ Moyers shirt to Dave Thiel

At the recent Sheffield Steelers v Cardiff Devils game (Steelers winning a fantastic game 4-3 in overtime with Rob Dowd hitting a late winner) David Thiel our Powerbor Product Manager received a Russ Moyer shirt from Steeler Dan.

Powerbor PB70/2 and PB70FRV bring real versatility to the workshop or onsite.

We have remodelled the former PB70 into the PB70 FRV. This exercise involved making the front panel less cluttered and more ergonomic, the speed and torque controls are now placed on the drill unit so they can be accessed during … Continue reading

Electrical

For the professional electrical contractor/engineer, G&J Hall's CONECUT®  taper drills and MULTICUT®  step drills, provide the convenient solution wherever a hole has to be made, enlarged or neatly finished.

Many products in the CONECUT®  and MULTICUT®  ranges are ideal for electrical applications. Three CONECUT®  tools - CC1A, CC25 and CC2 - are specially designed for electrical applications, their final diameters suited for push buttons, indicator lights and conduits.

Many of the drill diameters on the wide range of MULTICUT®  products are key electrical sizes, whilst ISO and German conduit sizes are covered by tools specifically for these applications.

Quality ground thread taps and dies are manufactured to internationally recognised ISO standards, ensuring both high performance and long tool life.

A comprehensive range of taps are stocked in straight flute, spiral flute, spiral point left hand and long series thread styles in all the common thread forms including metric, BA and UNC. ISO and PG electrical conduit thread taps are available from stock in straight flute design for hand or machine use.

The HANDIBURR® range provides precision-made tools for rethreading, deburring, chamfering and enlarging holes. Taper reamers are ideal for opening out holes while maintaining concentricity and circularity.

Chamferbits and pipe reamers remove burrs from pipe and conduit tubing with speed and ease. Pipe reamers are particularly suitable for electrical conduit tube and removing tabs on 'knockout' boxes. They have proved to be safer, quicker and more effective than filing or other methods.

Tools to Use:

For threading conduit tubing:

For drilling conduit entry holes, trunking, junction connection, switch boxes, socket and fuse boxes, or for opening 'knock' out holes:

For deburring and finishing:

For cleaning and recutting threads (i.e. switch back boxes, etc):

Automotive and Transportation Accessory Fitting

For applications within the automotive sector, from manufacture through to garage repairs, CONECUT® taper drills, MULTICUT® step drills, HSSGT taps and HANDIBURR® taper reamers, chamferbits, deburring tools and rethreaders provide the convenient solution wherever a hole has to be made, enlarged or neatly finished; a thread created or where rethreading is required. The tools are ideal for applications such as the fitting or repair of audio systems within cars, where the operator often has to work within extremely confined spaces.

For the automotive aftermarket, G&J Hall also offers a comprehensive selection of tools for bodywork repairs to cars, boats and caravans.

Two CONECUT® High Speed Steel taper drills - RP1 and RP2 - are designed for specific automotive applications. They are used to create the holes required for rustproofing treatment of motor vehicles, boats and caravans. Sizes match with plastic plugs inserted after the injection of protective fluid.

The HEXIBIT® range includes step drills, countersinks, taps, taper drills, deburring cutters and drill reamers. The rapid changeover in drill chuck, hexagon adapter and handle socket saves time and increases productivity. Once again, the tool is extremely convenient for working in confined spaces. A 1/4" hexagon shank on all products allows a non-slip, positive drive.

The Trepanning Action MULTICUT® High Speed Steel step drill is also designed for specific automotive applications. It enables variable sizes of larger diameters to be drilled without the need for a pre-drilled hole. The smooth multi-flute action ensures that clean, burr-free, round holes are produced consistently and efficiently. It is ideal for drilling holes in most materials up to 4mm thick, and incorporates popular diameters for automotive fittings.
